Thanks for sharing your simple steps. There are so many blogs out there and it helps to know why which ones are better than others.. not just because they look prettier, but what the real components are to draw in your readers and keeping them coming back! definitely shouldn’t apologize for who you are. The title fits and is brilliant! People who are not committed to online success are the ones who whine after being left with little to show for their efforts. Online success, just like any success, doesn’t come overnight. It comes with all the factors that you listed, persistence and giving first. Thanks for laying it all out on the table!

Great post, Mat. And you’re absolutely right- if you give GOOD, quality content to people that sounds like it’s coming from a real person, you’re going to get readers fast!

We always say it- “content is king.”

Mat, regardless of you apologizing for the title, you will get more traffic for being original and not so formal with it. It is amazing how many of my blog posts are ranked high in the search engines the day after posting. Whether or not I get readers to stay and keep coming back is how well I apply your 8 steps.
