Tuesday morning I had the opportunity to meet with a company regarding providing search engine optimization services to them. This is a company that is on the verge of being an Inc. 500 company and I was meeting with the CEO, VP of Marketing, and VP of Development. About 45 min. into the meeting the CEO said, “So how do we get this going?” and my reply to him was something along the lines of, “If we begin working together we will start with, etc. etc.” and went on to explain our process to him. Roughly 10 min. later the CEO stood up and basically said,

After less then a day of using it, I can already tell you that Twitterfon is going to be my biggest addiction of 2009. I live on my iPhone, work on my iPhone and practically use my iPhone more then my Macbook to get most of my work done. Obviously, I can’t do all my work on the iPhone, but the amount of time I spend on it – especially because of Twitter – Twitterfon is going to change my life! LOL – probably not, but its a cool new iPhone App that I found because of an @rustybrick tweet.

Many Uses of Twitter
As I was driving home yesterday from the Cardinals game (which I will be posting about) I heard a local radio station telling people to follow them on Twitter, and to check their Twitter page out for the latest updates and contests etc.
I was super impressed to hear this. I have been wondering why more radio stations don’t tap into the power of Twitter and using it for these exact reasons! I am also glad that more of these places are getting away from referring people to their MySpace pages. MySpace had their time and chance to get better, but didn’t – and their service IMO has just gotten worse. Twitter is simple and easy to use and understand and is an amazing platform for promotions and contests.
